LetterStream Makes Donation to the 2025 Code:Red Water Drive

When summer in Arizona hits triple digits, staying cool isn’t just about comfort—it’s about survival. That’s why we once again joined forces with Brown Community Management to support the Phoenix Rescue Mission’s Code:Red Summer Heat Relief Campaign, helping to get bottled water to those who need it most.

And this year? We went big. Together, we collected 12,080 bottles of water to donate. That’s enough to fill an entire office breakroom…and then some.

Why We Keep Coming Back to This Cause

Phoenix Rescue Mission

If you’ve lived in Arizona for more than a week, you know summer heat is no joke. For our neighbors experiencing homelessness or without reliable shelter, it’s downright dangerous. Dehydration can set in quickly, and access to clean, cold water can be the difference between life and death.

That’s why we jumped right back in this year. Not only is this cause close to our hearts, but we’ve seen the difference it makes—firsthand—from the smiles and gratitude of those receiving these donations. And yes, while LetterStream is known for helping people send mail online (and making it a breeze), we’re also big believers in lending a hand offline, too.

Partnership Power: Brown Management

The success of this year’s drive is thanks to a solid team effort. Brown Community Management rallied their network and encouraged donations across their communities. OPACS also helped out as our go-to for office supplies, once again came through in a big way to help us source and deliver the water.

It’s proof that when businesses team up for good, the results multiply—kind of like how one pallet of bottled water can become an entire truckload when everyone chips in.

From Pallets to People

Brown Management and LetterStream

We measured the donation in bottles, but the real measure is impact. Each case of water represents relief for someone braving the Arizona sun without easy access to hydration. That’s a humbling thought—and a big motivator for us to keep supporting the Code:Red Water Drive each year.

And while mailing Certified Mail online or sending bulk business statements might be our daily grind, it’s projects like this that remind us why community matters.

A Big Thank You

To everyone who donated, shared the cause, or helped move and stack cases in the blazing heat—thank you. You helped turn 12,080 bottles into 12,080 chances to make a scorching summer just a little bit safer for someone in need.

We’re proud to be part of a community that shows up when it matters. And we’ll be ready to do it all over again next year.

Charity Hike With LetterStream to Benefit Climb to Conquer Cancer

At the core of LetterStream, we are all about people—our team, our clients, and our community. Giving back isn’t just something we do—it’s stamped into our mission, sealed with purpose, and mailed straight from the heart. So when one of our employees brought the Climb to Conquer Cancer charity event that was near and dear to their heart to our attention, we laced up our hiking boots and took to the trails to make a difference.

LetterStream hikes South Mountain for Climb to Conquer Cancer charity event

On February 22, 2025, our LetterStream crew joined hundreds of fellow Arizonans for the 42nd Annual Climb to Conquer Cancer at South Mountain Park. This incredible, family-friendly event is a cherished tradition in Phoenix, bringing together individuals and teams to hike approximately 5.5 miles up South Mountain to honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate the survivors, and support caregivers who give themselves to help others.

The event kicked off bright and early at 7:00 AM, with participants gathering at the base of South Mountain, ready to honor cancer survivors, raise awareness, and fundraise for the American Cancer Society. The trail was lined with supporters, entertainment and the high energy of those determined to make a difference.

Churches And Year-End Giving Statements

Girls helping mail year-end statements

Wow, January is a tough month on volunteers in churches and other non-profit organizations that need to send out year-end charitable giving statements (or annual contribution statements).

This is the time of year you see church secretaries and bookkeepers hauling boxes of paper and envelopes to their cars so they can get their family involved in folding, stuffing, addressing, sealing and mailing the giving statements. This process can take its toll on church staff as they are hesitant to get other church members and “givers” involved due to the sensitivity of this information.

If your organization is looking for an easier and faster method, consider using LetterStream.com to accomplish this mailing. Some local churches actually bring their pre-printed documents directly to us for folding, inserting and mailing. However, most of our non-profit clients simply upload their contribution statements to our secure website for us to print and mail for them.

One thing to remember is that charities are not allowed to use their non-profit permit, standard or bulk postage for these statements. Instead, the United States Postal Service (USPS) requires that statements be sent via First-Class Mail.

Keep in mind that First-Class postage rates are going up by 3 cents on January 26th, 2014. So however you choose to get your charitable giving statements out, act quickly.

If you’d like to give LetterStream a try, choose the “Pre-Addressed PDF (1stclass)” job type from our website and upload some sample statements, or simply give us a call and mention this blog post for personalized assistance. We think you’ll discover a welcome relief to your year-end giving statement mailing.
